Before I started Doodle Pad Designs, I was happy painting ornaments and creating artwork for my friends and family.

One day I realized that lots of other people were looking for unique, personalized, one-of-a-kind gifts to give to THEIR friends and families and so Doodle Pad Designs was born!

After selling my hand painted artwork on eBay (this was a loooong time ago) Etsy came along with the promise of a handmade niche.  However, the competition heated up as more and more sellers joined the party, and my work was getting copied,  my hands started to hurt (it sucks getting older!) and my husband lost his job along with all its benefits (don’t worry, he has since found a new job that he loves!).  At the time, I had to figure out how to create one-of-a-kind, quality gift items FASTER and without as much wear and tear on my hands.

Thankfully,

I found a new way to produce handmade items with faster turn-around times for my customers, a vast array of possible products, and more time to spend with my family.

These days,

I still paint ornaments and sell on Etsy, but I am loving the freedom and challenges of having my own website and look forward to all the new products and designs that you – my awesome customer – are constantly pushing me to create.
